Situated in the seaside town of Moonta on Yorke Peninsula’s Copper Coast.
Moonta Health and Aged Care Service Inc. (MHAACS) is a community owned private not-for-profit Aged Care Service located in the heart of the Copper Triangle at Moonta and has been serving the Moonta community since 1987.
MHAACS provides a homely environment in a country style setting, characterised by light-filled rooms and friendly, caring staff. Residents and their visitors enjoy the relaxing ambience of the gardens with various bench seating located for residents and families to enjoy the attractive rose gardens.
Home cooked meals!
This social, community-oriented residence offers a pleasant, harmonious atmosphere and a non-clinical environment to provide comfort, support and all-round wellbeing. Of particular note are our menu’s featuring all home-cooked meals, drawing on the fresh flavours of local and regional produce.
All meals, including full morning and afternoon teas, are made on-site by our in-house chef. Specific dietary needs of residents are catered for by the Chef.

Doctors & Other Allied Health Care Professionals on site!
Providing services to MHAACS and located within the facility, we have various allied Health Specialists, including, Doctors, Dentist, Chiropractor, Hearing Aid Specialists and a Pathology Clinic servicing all of the residents at MHAACS during normal working hours.

These rooms have ensuites and are completely refurbished! If you or your parents would like more information or would like to go on a waiting list to secure the room please contact the General Manager for a personal and confidential chat.
Rooms Comprise of single, private and companion rooms, Moonta Health can meet the full range of care needs from Low-level Care to high-level care. We also have a specialist Memory Support Unit catering for residents with Dementia. Our ‘ageing-in-place’ capabilities allow residents to stay at MHAACS even if their care requirements change.

Memory Support Unit!
A dedicated cognitive support unit is also part of MHAACS and is designed specifically for those with memory and cognitive care needs, including dementia. This facility allows residents to benefit from specially trained staff and a dedicated lifestyle and activities program.
A dedicated “D” Shift in the Memory Unit from 3.45 to 7.45 every day forms part of the additional Speciality care provided by MHAACS. The D Shift was implemented to provide additional activities and diversional therapies during the period of Sundowners.
